Season CSA share

$675.00

Sign up for a full season of weekly harvested heirloom vegetables and herbs!

We must warn you- this isn’t your average grocery store produce. Your bounty will be freshly harvested day of pickup and come in all sorts of amazing flavors and surprising colors. Diversity’s the word down on the farm, so don’t be surprised to find purple bell peppers or dusty pink heart-shaped tomatoes in your share from time to time. Part of the fun is exploring versions of your favorite veggies that you can’t find in the grocery store, or stumbling upon a completely unknown vegetable (ground cherries, anyone?) Because your share is harvested day of pickup, you’ll gain an understanding of what it means to eat “in season”, while supporting your local economy. Farmer Kendra is also here to support you with ideas on what to do with some of the lesser known things in your share.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By joining one you reap the benefits of knowing exactly where and how your food is grown, and supporting your local economy by keeping your money circulating within our community. By stuffing your kitchen with local produce you’ll also be cutting your carbon emissions- think about all the energy and fuel it takes to tractor-farm veggies, and then ship them from all over the country and world via planes and trucks.

Still not clear on what a CSA is? Check out this short article.

Details:

Weekly box of Seasonal veggies from the end of May to beginning of October, as the weather allows. This works out to about 18 weeks +/- of fresh produce, 10-12 different items a week.

Hang out at pickup, drink a beverage, and meet the community, share recipes, puns, and jokes. Trade other members things you hate for things you love, and leave as family.

Grab your goodies down on the farm each Tuesday throughout the season between 4pm-6pm.

UPDATE: Pickup has been moved to WEDNESDAYS throughout the season.
